ESPN’s Sports Nation has just released its list of the 10 Greatest Baseball Movies Ever. The list is available at ESPNs website. It’s a pretty standard list escept that all the movies are relatively new. That means they left out “Pride of the Yankees.” Here, with only one comment, is the list:

9. Eight Men Out
8. A League of Their Own
7. The Bad News Bears
6. Moneyball
5. The Natural
4. The Sandlot
3. Bull Durham
2. Major League
1. Field of Dreams
I’ll make only this comment. They got number one right.

My list would look quite different. I think Eight Men Out is very underrated. I haven’t yet seen 42, so I can’t count that one yet.

Agreed, not a bad flick in the lot. A League of Their Own is worth a look.
